Terminator Salavation.

Been a while, I understand, my Mac broke and I haven't really had much of a chance to sit down and use the Internet, as this will be a bridge between the more than likely long gaps between reviews while my Mac gets fixed I'm going to approach this review well, a lot less like a review.

I mainly want to approach this differently because I fucking loved this movie, like really fucking loved this movie. It did every fucking think a Hollywood movie should do, it had big fucking explosions, incredible effects, incredible cinematography and mis-en-scene. If anything, it did more than a Hollywood movie is expected to do and that's fucking awesome. So you can imagine when I saw the critical response to this I was pretty pissed. And very frustrated.

What a lot of people seem to somehow miss when approaching a blockbuster is they are made for fucking retards. No ifs or buts, Hollywood in general is aimed at retards. The movies have to be simple and constantly exciting or the mass audience they're aiming at will simply get bored or offended and leave and they won't make their millions. When I see all these critics coming to a blockbuster and moaning that it lacks a tight narrative or incredible acting or writing or it doesn't change the world or whatever I wonder if they've ever actually even studied film as a whole. If they had, they should know that that isn't the fucking point of modern Hollywood.

If you want low key well written masterpieces, look at arthouse or independent cinema and well a lot of world cinema. Or, if you're one of those fags who turn away from art cinema because it's too 'hard to follow' or don't watch world cinema because you say, 'I wanna watch a movie, not read it, god reading is for nerds' just go watch an old black and white Hollywood movie, oh wait I forgot, you're probably the cunt who refuses to watch black and white movies too.

Hollywood is the only movie business in the world who can truly create these huge fucking movies featuring giant robots and huge explosions, I mean yes, I'm sure by now you've furiously thought up an example from outside Hollywood and are probably smugly waiting to thrust it at me, but generally it's Hollywood who make these movies. If Hollywood one day decided it was going to do low key art cinema, two things would happen. Firstly big budget block busters would pretty much disappear and then secondly, the current 'niche' cinema like art or world cinema would somehow become even more niche because what need would there be to see these low key low budget movies in Spanish when Hollywood can do them in your native language and make them look more polished? In the end the only people seeing those 'niche' movies would be cinephile's and I understand right now cinephile's make up a large quota of the income for niche cinema already, but not all of it. Any potential non cinephile watchers of niche cinema would be stolen by Hollywood for ever,

Much like anything in life, Hollywood and all the other cinemas act in a natural balance of one another, each filling their natural space, with loose borders, if an Asian cinema movie attempts at a blockbuster, it doesn't fuck anything up because Hollywood can then just remake it, make it more American, and throw so much money at it no one will be able to top it. But if it is vice versa and Hollywood attempt to imitate the other cinemas there is no fucking way in shit they'd ever be able to match Hollywood, they just don't have the money. And then over night Hollywood would take over all cinema as we know it.

So yeah, Terminator Salvation is so mindless your brain melts, yeah it doesn't make you see the world in a different light or any of that shit. But is Terminator Salvation a bad movie? No fucking way, it's a Blockbuster, in terms of entertainment you can bet your ass you'll have a fucking awesome time.

Think about it!
